Georgia returns home to Lennox, Oregon, after being away for 7 years, to spend Christmas with her Nan and direct a Christmas play fundraiser. During her time in Lennox, she runs into Weston James, the man who broke her young heart and the one she could never forget. As they deal with the contentions between them while producing the Christmas play, Georgia questions if she's willing to give love a chance and receive it from others?Plain and simple, I LOVED this story. This was a delightful, funny and charming holiday read. Georgia is a writer, who specializes in cliche Hallmark Christmas movies. She's stubborn, witty, goodhearted and vulnerable. I related to and loved her. And Weston James is such a swoon-worthy hero. It's impossible not to fall for his charms and kindness. The leads had great chemistry, with their bantering, history and heart-to-heart moments. In addition to a great plot and a book debate on a beloved classic (be still my bookish heart), the secondary characters shined with their individual personalities coming through. The spiritual message of love was beautiful, too. I am definitely gushing over this book, but I can't help it. Whether during the holidays or the rest of year, I will be sure to reread this book in my future. I highly recommend this story.

A Cliché Christmas Love in Lenox Nicole Deese 9781477826171 Books Reviews
The story drew me in from the beginning and I found myself not being able to put it down until I had devoured the whole thing. I loved the small town Oregon setting, the characters that are even more lovable because of their flaws and my favorite kind of ending.
The story line that really touched me was Georgia's strained relationship with her mother and how she battled with her expectations. Life isn't perfect. We can't control how others treat us. Yet, there is hope in God's plan for our lives.
A Cliche Christmas, although not always a feel good story, was a story of hope. It was my first holiday book of the season and definitely got me in the mood to read more. This is a book that will make it into my yearly holiday reads. (I would love it if Hallmark made it into a movie!)
Georgia is known in Hollywood as the Holiday Goddess. She's famous for her screen plays of sentimental Christmas love stories. She's from a small town in Oregan, but hasn't been back for seven years. Every year for Christmas she takes her grandmother on a warm vacation. But when her grandmother calls and asks for a favor for a sick little girl, Georgia can't say no. So she returns to the small town where she was raised. And to the guy who she was in love with, but humiliated her. Can she forgive or will her past dictate her future?
This author was recommended by a favorite author friend of mine and so I had to check her out. I'm so glad I did. This book was sweet, romantic, and enjoyable. The characters, while flawed, had depth and were likable. The author did a great job of painting the surroundings so that I felt a part of the story. There was a thread of faith woven throughout the story, but it fit perfectly with the plot. The title fit the book well since it seems so full of cliches. But for some reason this was cute and didn't annoy me. Now I'm off to read her second book which takes a secondary character from this book.
There is absolutely nothing cliche about this story. Filled to the brim with witty, personal, and romantic conversations, it's a beautiful reminder that unconditional love shows up in the most unexpected places.
Coming back to her Oregon hometown to direct an original stage production on behalf of a very sick child, Georgia Cole comes face to face with the past in the form of her charming nemesis, Weston James. Living in California as a successful playwright, Georgia has managed to push memories of her childhood confidante aside; his stinging betrayal having severed what Georgia thought was a special friendship. As Georgia and Weston now work side by side to bring a little girl's dream to reality, another dream begins to form. Demanding courage that Georgia never knew she had, will she replace her fear of failure with the gift of faith?
